- Description
- The Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI), has a requirement to procure 272 COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE Trauma Bleeding Simulation Systems (TBSS) for the Medical Simulation Training Centers. Based on the Government's requirement, the TBSS will replicate traumatic injuries and the profuse bleeding that they produce when encountered in a combat environment. The system must pair with human actors as the vocal reaction to the injury significantly enhances the training realism and is vital to the Army's training objectives. The system must also be able to be remotely controlled and be able to demonstrate arterial bleeding. The TBSS will consist of the Bleeding Simulator, the Remote Control, Ancillary Equipment and Consumables. TBSS components must be rugged for use in hot/cold/sandy/ muddy/wet/snowy operating environments and capable of withstanding rough handling by the user.
