Description

Notice of Intent SOLE SOURCE NOTICE: The proposed procurement action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source (T.O. Plastics LLC.). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 5 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Sole Source is based upon this vendor being the only manufacturer/vendor able to satisfy this requirement. See FAR 8.405-6(e)(2). VA CMOP Leavenworth KS intends to Award a Sole Source purchase Order to T.O. Plastics to provide custom made, one of a kind, Totes. These Totes are used on a conveyor belt system for the collection of Pharmaceuticals to be mailed to Veterans. Totes configuration requires a custom Mold and cutting tools for manufacture. No other configuration of Tote meets the requirements of the conveyor belt system at the Leavenworth CMOP. Award to any other source would result in substantial duplication of cost to the government that is not expected to be recovered through competition or in unacceptable delays in fulfilling the requirement.
