Description
WORK STATEMENT 1.0 ABSTRACT This item describes the requirement to provide a Certified Appleton Marine Crane Technical Representative to perform the required pedestal bearing bolt torque checks to the four (4) cargo cranes as required and described in the Appleton Technical Manual. 2.0 REFERENCES 2.1 Appleton Marine Technical Manual TG811-BL-MMC-010 (pages 36 and 81-87) (located onboard vessel) 3.0 ITEM LOCATION/QUANTITY/DESCRIPTION 3.1 Cargo Cranes: Two (2) Starboard Side at 02-32-1 and 02-77-1 Two (2) Port Side at 02-32-2 and 02-77-2 3.2 Performance Location: USNS Carl Brashear (T-AKE 7) Thailand 3.3 Period of Performance: 06 to 26 March 2012 4.0 GOVERNMENT FURNISHED EQUIPMENT/MATERIAL/SERVICES 4.1 Government Furnished Equipment (GFE): None 4.2 Government Furnished Material (GFM): None 4.3 Government Furnished Services (GFS): None 5.0 QUALITY ASSURANCE REQUIREMENTS 5.1 None Additional 6.0 STATEMENT OF WORK 6.1 Technical Representative shall travel to Thailand to perform the statement of work. 6.2 Provide a Certified Appleton Marine Crane Technical Representative and other labor as required to perform the required bolt torque checks to the four (4) cargo cranes. 6.3 Technical Representative shall perform the torque checks in the presence of the Cargo Engineer. 6.4 Technical Representative shall also perform a routine inspection of all associated equipment, i.e. cables, on the four (4) cargo cranes. 6.5 Any discrepancies shall be reported to the Port Engineer in the form of a Condition Report. 6.6 At the completion of all work the Technical Representative shall provide an electronic copy of the Service Report to the Port Engineer and Chief Engineer. 7.0 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS 7.1 None Additional
