- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format prescribed in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation FA4877-12-Q-0221 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses of those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-55, Defense Circular Number 20111220, Air Force Acquisition Circular 2012-0104. This procurement is being issued as a 100% small business set aside. The Associated North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) code for this request is 315299 with a size standard 500 employees or under. The results of this requirement will be a firm fixed priced (FFP) contract. The right to make multiple or no award is reserved in the event it is advantageous to the Government to do so. Items called for by this RFQ have been identified in the schedule by brand name or equal. The contractor shall provide the following Contract Line Item Number (CLIN): 0001 - 1 EA: Aqua Safety Suit (Part Number AQSS1-XXL/XXXL) or equal 0002 - 2 EA: Aqua Safety Suit (Part Number AQSS1-L/XL) or equal 0003 - 1 EA: Aqua Safety Suit (Part Number AQSS1-S/M) or equal 0004 - 4 EA: Cooling Vest and Vorte (Part Number AQCA-COOL) or equal Description: All products will be brand name Cesco or equal. Equal bids must meet the following characteristics: - Must be able to sustain a 40K PSI water blast from a 76MM nozzle at three (3) inches with no penetration. - Must be able to provide 360° protection for the blaster's torso, arms, and legs to include the top of their feet. - Must be manufactured as a single item such as jacket, or over-alls. For FOD reasons, no individual piece can be added with fasteners. - Suit must accommodate a cooling vest. - Suit must be made of a layered fabric to allow unrestricted movement so blaster can kneel or operate a man-lift. THIS REQUIREMENT IS A BRAND NAME OR EQUAL. Shipping will be FOB Destination to F1PT7A - AMARG 577 CMRS/MXDPFA DMAFB Tucson, AZ. The shipment should be marked for Loretta Merrell.
