Description

This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce On Line (NECO) Site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopses and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA). The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue solicitation number N0002412R4313 for the FY13 Dry-Dock Continuous Maintenance Availability (DCMAV) of the USS BOISE (SSN 764). The DCMAV includes planning, maintenance, repair, alterations, testing, and routine work on a nuclear-powered submarine. It is anticipated that this will be a non-competitive procurement awarded to Huntington Ingalls Industries/Newport News Shipbuilding, a nuclear-qualified contractor, located at 4101 Washington Avenue in Newport News, VA (zip code 23607). Firms interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact Newport News Shipbuilding directly. The DCMAV is scheduled to last four (4) months. The DCMAV will be performed in the graving dock at Newport News Shipbuilding located near the homeport of the ship at Norfolk, VA. The solicitation will be issued on or about 17 April 2012.
