Description
The purpose of this amendment is to provide questions and answers in regards to Combined Synopsis / Solicitation G12PS00116 as follows: Question 1: Is there travel involved with this contract? Answer 1: A contractor is not required to travel to obtain data they may need, because they can obtain the information online by coordinating with the Technical Liaison. The old material is pre-online publication and therefore available, and there is nothing preventing potential contractors from obtaining technical material upon request. Additionally if a contractor requires access to a USGS system, then the Technical Liaison can assist the contractor with obtaining special approval as needed. Question 2: "Technical Capability (to include technical excellence, management capability, personal qualifications, and experience)" - Does the word experience refer to the candidate's / person's experience or the company's experience? Answer 2: The candidate's experience. See Provision 52.212-02 and refer to the Statement of Work for additional information. Question 3: "Past Performance" - Does Past Performance need to be related to Seismic Data Services? Answer 3: Yes. Question 4: "Having an excellent knowledge of the seismic properties of the Earth's crust" - Does this pertain to the candidate / person or the company? Answer 4: The candidate. Question 5: Who is the incumbant? What was the value of the incumbant's contract for last year? Answer 5: There is no incumbant. This is a new contract being contemplated. The hour and date specified for receipt of offers is NOT extended. Offers must acknowledge receipt of this amendment prior to the offer due date and time specified in the Combined Synopsis / Solicitation by email or with their offer. All acknowledgements must reference the amendment number. FAILURE OF YOUR ACKNOWLEDGEMENT BY THE OFFER DUE DATE AND TIME, MAY RESULT IN REJECTION OF YOUR OFFER. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged unless received in writing from the Contracting Officer. Direct inquiries to Cheryl Fitch at 916-278-9331 or cfitch@usgs.gov. SUITE 2002.
