- Notice of Intent to Award Request # W81C5M1286M251 The U. S. Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Installation Contracting Division, 4118 Susquehanna Avenue, Aberdeen, MD 21005 intends to award on a sole source contract to Thermo Electon, 1400 Northpoint Pkwy, Ste 50, West Palm Beach, FL 33407-1976 a comprehensive annual maintenance agreement (base plus 2 option years) for the Nicolet 8700 FTIR spectrometer and related items manufactured by Thermo Electron North America under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisitions Procedures (SAP) as only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. As the manufacture, Thermo Electron is the only authorized repair facility with trained/certified technicians, having access to OEM repair parts, updates, software releases and propriety technical information. (NAICS: 811219, SBA size standard: $7.0 m) Interested parties may identify interest in writing to the identified point of contact no later than 03:00 pm eastern time on 1 Feb 2012. Telephone responses will not be accepted. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation of offers.
