Description
DRAFT PWS DRAFT RFP Applied Technologies for Landing Systems (ATLAS) 2.5 DRAFT Request for Proposal (RFP) Program Description: Applied Technologies for Landing Systems (ATLAS) was established to develop and administer an indefinite delivery - indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract for providing engineering services in support of Air Force landing gear systems and related infrastructure (depot and field). Landing Systems includes: landing gear structures, rolling stock (wheels and brakes), antiskid systems, materials development/characterization, processes (e.g. Depot repair processes), business data (e.g. mgmt of systems integration). The engineering services are to support specific objectives which are generally built around mission safety, improving system life cycle cost, operational capability and performance, sustainment including maintainability & support, and safety & environmental friendliness. These engineering services efforts are in the areas of new design, technical documentation, diminishing material and manufacturing sources, environmental improvement issues, reliability, productivity, efficiency, and cost saving. One of the primary objectives of the program was to enable the ability to address rapid acquisition issues for the Applied Technologies for Landing Systems Program. This particular requirement does not include repair work and limited production runs. SPECIAL NOTE: Interested contractors are encouraged to review the DRAFT RFP and provide input by way of comments and/or questions. This DRAFT RFP will be used to fine tune requirements documents and address any industry concerns prior to release of final RFP. The Government is contemplating awarding a 4 year Multiple Award ID/IQ contract(s) for this effort with Firm Fixed Price and Cost Reimbursable No Fee CLINs. The Government estimates the magnitude to be less than $49,000,000. Please submit comments/questions to - trevor.braswell@hill.af.mil and brenda.christy@hill.af.mil by Friday, February 24th, 2012.
