Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center, Lakehurst, New Jersey (NAWCADLKE) intends to issue a sole source contract with GE Fanuc Embedded Systems as per the authority of 10 USC 2304 (b)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The purpose of the proposed contract is to procure (150) MIL-STD-1553 Cards, one hundred fifty (150) Sound Cards, one hundred fifty (150) Expander Cards, one hundred fifty (150) Single Slot VMEBus IDE Hard Drives, and one hundred fifty (150) Solid State Hard Drives spicific to support the AN/SPN-46 Replacement Console system. over a 5-year, Fixed Price, IDIQ type contract. The AN/SPN-46 Automatic Carrier Landing System (ACLS) provides the capability for fully automatic final approach and landing of high performance carrier-based aircraft under adverse weather and sea-state conditions. All units are due within 45 days after issuance of a delivery order. FOB Destination will be Saint Inigoes, MD 20684. The Government does not own the drawing data rights for the for the subject equipment. GE Fanuc Embedded Systems is the sole designer and manufacture of the subject support equipment and is the only known firm which possesses the knowledge, experience, and technical expertise necessary to fulfill the Navy's requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition, based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. See Note 22.
