- This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 13. The US Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Installation Contracting Division, 4118 Susquehanna Avenue, Aberdeen, MD 21005 has a requirement to procure the following services for the recalibration and tune-up of three (3) S-2040's and seven (7) S-4040 Computerized Gas Mixing/Dilution Systems. CLIN 0001 - Recalibration and Tune-Up Base Year Period of Performance: 1 February 2012 through 31 January 2013 The contractor shall provide the recalibration and tune-up of Computerized Gas Mixing/Dilution that will include: (3) S-2040's and seven (7) S-4040's evaluation and estimate of repair and cost on the following items: CLIN 0002 - Repairs and Cleaning This is an optional CLIN that the government may exercise at any time during the base year period of performance. The contractor shall not perform any work under this CLIN without a signed modification to exercise this option. CLIN 0003 - Accounting for Contract Services CLIN 1001 - Recalibration and Tune-up Option Year One (1) Period of Performance: 1 February 2013 through 31 January 2014 The contractor shall provide the recalibration and tune-up of Three (3) S-2040's and Seven (7) S-4040 Computerized Gas Mixing/Dilution Systems CLIN 1002 - - Repairs and Cleaning This is an optional CLIN that the government may exercise at any time during the base year period of performance. The contractor shall not perform any work under this CLIN without a signed modification to exercise this option. CLIN 2001 - Recalibration and Tune-up Option Year Two (2) Period of Performance: 1 February 2014 through 31 January 2015 The contractor shall provide the recalibration and tune-up of Three (3) S-2040's and Seven (7) S-4040 Computerized Gas Mixing/Dilution Systems CLIN 2002 - Repairs and Cleaning This is an optional CLIN that the government may exercise at any time during the base year period of performance. The contractor shall not perform any work under this CLIN without a signed modification to exercise this option. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source purchase order to Environics, Inc., 69 Industrial Park Road East, Tolland, CT 06084. Environics, Inc., is the sole source to provide the service needed because they are the sole manufacturer and the systems software is proprietary. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811219 and the Business Size Standard in the millions of dollars is $7.0. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 8:00 AM Eastern Time, February 6, 2012. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements.
