- Description
- This contract action was accomplished using other than competitive procedures because this is a task/delivery order where an exception to fair opportunity requirements was approved as this is a follow-on order to a competitive initial order (FAR 8.405-6(b)(2) or 16.505(b)(2)(iii). Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), MD 21005, has awarded contract number W91QUZ-07-D-0008 Delivery Order BG20 Modification 02 on a Firm Fixed Price basis to Government Technology Services, Inc (GTSI) Herndon, VA. The Award effective date is 27 Jan 2012. This modification is in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), FAR 16.505(b)(2)(i)(C) and issued on a sole-source basis in the interest of economy and efficiency under the provisions for logical follow-on to a requirement for FBCB2 Command and Control Systems DF5 transit kits satisfied under Firm Fixed Price (FFP) delivery order W91QUZ-07-D-0008, Order# BG20 to Government Technology Services, Inc (GTSI). PM FBCB2 has purchased twenty-one (21) DataFast5 (DF5) transit kits and associated testing of the DF5 computer for the Force XXI Battle Command Brigade and Below (FBCB2) - Blue Force Tracking (BFT) System. The DF5 transit kit is part of the FBCB2-BFT support equipment and duplicates over 20 types of solid state and rotating hard disk drives for use in FBCB2 system's changing environments. The DF5 transit kit duplicates hard drives including classified data at high speeds. GTSI will procure hardware and provide services to assemble the DF5 transit kits, perform quality assurance checks of components, and ensure functionality testing and verification of the DF5 disk duplicator software configuration. The devices (DF5, cables, adapters, etc.) shall be packaged in ruggedized transit cases.
