Description
This is NOT a soliciation announcement and should not be construed as such. This is a sources sought synopsis only. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (HubZone, 8(a), Small Business, Small Disadvantaged, etc) relative to NAICS 621399 (size standard of $7.0 million). Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, a solicitation announcement may be published at www.fbo.gov website. Responses to this sources sought notice are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. All interested offerors will have to respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to responding to this sources sought announcement. The Veterans Affairs Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center (RLR VAMC), Indianapolis, IN is performing pre-solicitation market research to determine potential business sources and set-aside possibilities for Perfusion Services. If you are interested and capable of providing the required services, please provide the requested information, as indicated below. The intended contract will be a base year with a possibility of four (4) one (1) year renewal option years. Contractor shall provide perfusion service coverage and be available for each case requiring perfusion services. For those cases requiring cardio pulmonary bypass, an alternate shall be available on site. The perfusionists shall be certified or certification eligible by the Americal Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion. At least one (1) board certified perfusionist shall be on-site for cases requiring cardio pulmonary bypass. When two (2) perfusionists are on-site, one (1) may be board-eligible. The contractor shall contact the OR between the hours of Noon and 3pm M-F before scheduled procedure(s) to determine the need for perfusion services for scheduled cases. Scheduled procedures occur M-F between 8am and 4:30pm. For unscheduled perfusion services, the VAMC OR staff will request services through a single point of contact established by the contractor. Perfusionists shall be available on-call 24 hours per day, seven (7) days per week to provide perfusion services within one (1) hour of actual contract by the RLR VAMC. Potential sources must demonstrate experience and knowledge of required services and capability to provide such services. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their capabilities. Potential sources should identify business name, point of contact, business size and any applicable business socio-economic category (i.e. small business, SDVOSB, VOSB, etc), service capability statement, provide information for recent and relevant projects similar in nature, DUNS number, address and any additional information felt to be pertinent. The NAICS code for this procurement is 621111 and the small business size standard is $10.0 million. This notice is to assist the VA in determining sources only. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced separately from the responses to this announcement. Responses to this sources sought is not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. RLR VAMC IS NOT SEEKING PRICING OR OFFERS OF ANY KIND. There is no guarantee, expressed or implicit, that the market research for this acquisition will result in a particular set-aside or sole source award, or any other guarantee of award strategy.
