- MAGNITUDE OF PROJECT: Between $25,000 and $100,000. LOCATION: Labette County, Kansas SUMMARY: This project is for the restoration of wetlands through the Wetlands Reserve Program in Labette County, Kansas. Work will include mobilization, demobilization, earthfill, excavation, seeding, chemical weed control, plastic pipe and water level control structure. QUANTITIES: The project will consist of an estimated 10,005 cubic yards earthfill, 13.5 acres excavation (microdepressions), 7.3 acres seeding and mulching (critical area), 55.1 acres seeding (upland wildlife habitat), 55.1 acres chemical weed control, 243 lin. ft. plastic pipe 8-inch and 8 lin. ft. water level control structure 8-inch. TIME FRAMES/DATE: Performance time, including mobilization and days for inclement weather is 49 work days, assuming 10-hour work-days and 5-day work weeks. Tentative date for posting the solicitation packet is February 21, 2012, with bid opening on March 21, 2012. A site showing will be arranged prior to the bid date. Details will be provided in the solicitation package. Before an award can be made every contractor foreman's work crew must include an employee who has a current first aid certificate from the Mine Safety and Health Administration, American Red Cross, or other state-approved organization. Prospective contractors must obtain a Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) Number. To obtain a DUNS number you can call 1-866-705-5711 or via the Internet at http://www.dnb.com. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award. Prospective contractors must complete the annual representations and certifications electronically via the Online Representation and Certifications Application (ORCA) website at http://orca.bpn.gov.
