Description
1) Overview a) Provide a new 40KvA UPS system for use with the MIRA-X Large Chamber Scanning Electron Microscope (LC-SEM). 2) System a) This unit shall integrate with the current electrical power supply and the LC-SEM power control box and the connected air compressor. The two small UPS units will integrate with the water chiller and sump pump. Communication and control of the UPS system will be monitored through one of the stand-alone computers currently in use. 3) UPS System and Operating Environment a) The rack and system cabinets must be able to fit through a door opening of 88 inches high by 71 inches wide. b) The combined footprint of the assembled switchbox and battery rack must not exceed 3 feet deep by 10 feet wide and no more than 15 feet tall. c) The frame shall include adjustable leveling feet. d) Efficient electrical performance ratings such as: • High fault clearing 2.77 x nominal current for 150 ms • Maximum load crest factor >3:1 • Suitable without de-rating, even for leading power factor loads • Compatible with all load types e) Greater than 90% efficiency in real operating conditions. f) Battery monitoring system that detects and monitors power levels, temperature, age, and type of battery allowing adjustment of charging voltage to ambient temperatures. g) Network integration and monitoring system compatible with windows platform software based computers. h) High definition cabinet display and control center with ability to save over 1,000 event logs. i) -25oC to 45 oC environmental temperature operation range. j) Input power: 3 Phase, 480 Volt electric input, 3 wires + ground wire. k) Output power: 3 Phase, 480 Volt, 3 wires + ground wire.
