- THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 13.106-1(b)(1), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement; unique supplies or services available from only one source or only one supplier with unique capabilities. The United States Army requires the purchase of an ACT3U Cyclic Ultrasonic Cleaner. These cleaners are used to clean delicate, flight critical, aircraft engine components when engines are disassembled for maintenance. The CENTCOM Contracting Command - Reachback (C3R) intends to make an award to Automated Cleaning Technologies, Inc, 16118 University Oak, San Antonio, TX 78249. Interested parties may email darian.e.soares.mil@mail.mil no later than 13 February 2012, 9:00a.m. CST. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 13.106. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement prior to 13 February 2012 at 9:00a.m. CST. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received is considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
