- THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT (REQUEST FOR BIDS, QUOTES OR PROPOSALS). THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. THE PURPOSE OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. Because this is a sources sought announcement, no evaluation letters and/or results will be issued to the respondents. No solicitation exists. Therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. Responses to this announcement will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. A subsequent solicitation announcement may follow. Responses to this announcement will not be considered as an adequate response to any future announcement. The Veteran Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) in Minneapolis, MN has a requirement for blood bank anti-body ID products for use with the VAMC owned Ortho Diagnostic Clinical Diagnostics ID-MTS Workstation. We will be requesting brand name or equal products which will be Ortho MTS gel cards, panels, reagents, and controls. The following products are needed: (1) Anti-IgG ID MTS Gelcards- Product No. MTS084024, (2) Antibody ID Resolve Panel A- 0.8% solution 11cells x3 mL- Product No.6902317, (3) Antibody ID Resolve Panel B-0.8% solution 11cells x3 mL- Product No. 6902318, (4) Antibody Screening surgiscreen 3-levels- Product No. 6902316 An indefinite delivery indefinite quantity firm fixed-price supply contract is anticipated for the purchase of these items. Please submit capability statement if your company provides comparable and/or compatible supplies for use with VA owned Ortho Clinical Diagnostics Micro-Typing Systems (ID MTS Workstations). Take into consideration that written communication received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining current market capabilities for the services identified within this notice. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced and posted on this website at a later date, and interested parties must respond to the solicitation to be considered for award. This notice does not commit the government to contract for any supply. The government will not pay for any information or administrative cost incurred in response to this source sought notice. The Government reserves the right to consider a small business, SDVOSB, VOSB or 8(a) set-aside based on responses hereto. Do not contact medical center staff in reqards to this requirement, as they are not authorized discuss this matters related to this procurement action, direct all questions to the Contract Specialist. Submittal Information: All responses must include the following information: Company name, cage code, CCR number, Dunn & Bradstreet number, company address, Point-of-Contact name, phone number, fax number, and e-mail. The subject line of the correspondence should clearly display the Sources Sought number. Due date for submission of company capabilities, is February 14, 2012 by 3:30 (CST). Information will only be accepted in writing by e-mail. The NAICS code is 325413 with a size standard of 500 employees.
