- The US Army Contracting Command, Joint Munitions and Lethality Contracting Center, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000, on behalf of the U.S Army Armament Research Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC), is seeking potential sources for supplying the U.S. Army with AKARDITE II for use in munitions. Respondents should be currently capable of manufacturing AKARDITE II defined by military specification DOD-M-64040A (dated November 21 1986). Respondents should have sufficient production capacity to supply the U.S. Army a total quantity of 500 1,000 pounds of AKARDITE II Interested companies that believe they can meet the AKARDITE II requirements specific above shall provide the U.S. Army a detail description of their AKARDITE II including chemical and physical properties, product cost, and a brief summary of their companys capabilities including description of facilities, personnel, past production experience and environmental compliance as it relates to the product(s). Firms/companies are invited to indicate their capabilities by providing specifications, brochures, manuals, reports, demonstration video and provide information of previous experience related to this type of work. The information provided will not be return. All data should be sent at no cost to the US Government NO LATER THAN March 08, 2012 to the US Army ARDEC. The Government will accept written questions by email. This is a market survey to be used for informational planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a Request for Proposal (RFP), nor is the Government obligated to issue an RFP. The US Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market survey or otherwise pay for information solicited. The government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey.
