- Description
- The Mid-Pacific Region of the Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue a Invitation for Bids (IFB) for a firm fixed-price contract for Shasta Power Plant Computer and Control Room HVAC. This procurement is set-aside for Total Small Business concerns only. The work to be performed is described below. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238220 and the related small business size standard is $14M. This notice is not a request for proposal and the information presented in this announcement will not obligate the Bureau of Reclamation in any manner. The estimated cost of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Work will be located at the Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation), Shasta Dam Powerplant Building, approximately 9 miles northwest of Redding, California, in Shasta County. Solicitation R12PS20053 will be posted to http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about February 27, 2012. The date for receipt of proposals will be approximately April 2, 2012. The solicitation must be downloaded at the above website; no paper copy of this solicitation will be distributed. Prospective contractors MUST be actively registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database at http://www.ccr.gov to be eligible for award. The purpose of this project is to improve heating and cooling efficiencies with thefacility. Work to be performed includes: 1. Remove the existing condensing units, air handlers, and associated electrical service for computer and control rooms.2. Remove the existing ducting.3. Furnish and install new water-cooled HVAC system, piping, and associated electrical components to provide cooling and heating for the computer and security rooms.4. Provide individual thermostat controls for computer and security rooms.5. Furnish and install new ducting.
