Description
Ethernet Switch Specs The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements for qualification to produce the item listed below. This does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that a procurement will be accomplished, nor it is a request for a proposal. Incumbent contractor information will not be provided. The Government requires production of an airworthy 12-Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch NSN: 5895-01-601-2500 for integration into the USAF A-10 Mission Design Series Aircraft. The projected quantities will be between 200 and 390 total, with deliveries at a rate of approximately 12 per month beginning 1st August 2012. The A-10 12-Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch is a flight-qualified, ruggedized commercial product built to IEEE 802 series standards. The switch must be identical to currently-fielded models in terms of form factor, pin-out, and functionality, and must interface out-of-the-box with zero development/integration activity apart from installation. The switch should be fabricated IAW with industry standards and should meet the specifications identified in attachment 1. Any proposed device must meet all performance, form factor, and certification requirements at the time of award. Provide sufficient documentation to demonstrate device certification for use in operational A-10 aircraft.
