Description
The Government's obligation under this contract is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payment for contract purposes can be made. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation at any time.This project is to repair Launch Facility (LF) Fuel Tank Venting by replacing fiberglass stacks with steel, replacing antiquated leak detection systems with new, inspecting and repairing when necessary, the tank man-way to prevent water infiltration at the 150 Missile Launch Facilities located within a 139 mile radius of Malmstrom Air Force Base near Great Falls, Montana. The Field Security Offices are each approximately 15.5 feet X 17 feet with an attached 5 feet X 15 feet corridor which contains a single 5 foot X 5 foot bath room. Ceiling height is approximately 8 feet. Repairs, replacement, and leak prevention measures will be required at 150 LF's unless noted otherwise. Replace the existing fiberglass vent pipe with new steel pipe above grade, flexible connector below grade to the existing fiberglass vent at 145 sites. Replace existing support system with a new one. Replace existing leak detection system with a new one. Inspect existing tank man-way for water intrusion and provide fiberglass repair when necessary. Install new concrete pad in area surrounding tank man-way to provide durable positive drainage away from the man-way. The Request for Proposal will be available on or about 27 Feb 2012. The Request for Proposal will close on or about 27 Mar 2012. The Performance Period for this project is six hundred thirty (630) working days after receiving the Notice to Proceed. The Notice to Proceed will be issued within 10 days after award of the solicitation. This acquisition is set aside to 100% small business in accordance with the Small Business Jobs Act of 2010. The Request for Proposal will be available by Electronic Transmission only at: http://www.fbo.gov. Potential contractors must be currently registered in the Central Contractor Registry to be eligible for award. (See Internet Site: http://ccr.edi.disa.mil/ccragent/p/sq1/ccr.welcome). All responsible sources must submit an offer good through 30 Sept 2012, which shall be considered by the agency. Potential contractors must also be currently registered with ORCA. (See Internet Site: http://orca.bpn.gov/). The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
