Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 11, in accordance with FAR 6.302.1 (only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Edstrom Industries Inc., 819 Bakke Avenue, Waterford, WI 53185, for Preventative Maintenance and Unlimited Emergency Repairs on Watch Dog Animal Caging System in the Research Facility at the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System. NAICS 811219, Small Business Standard of $19 million applies. The Contractor shall provide all parts, materials, labor, supervision, test equipment, and manufacturing necessary to provide Preventative Maintenance and Emergency Repairs for the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare Systems, Research Service, 2215 Fuller Road, Ann Arbor, MI 48105, for the period from date of Award through September 30, 2012 with four (4) one (1) year options. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses must be received no later than 3:00 pm on February 27, 2012. No telephone or email inquiries will be accepted. All responses must be mailed to VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System, Attn: Thomas Auten (54C), 2215 Fuller Road, Ann Arbor, MI 48105.
