- Description
- This notice serves to announce the intent of the 14th Contracting Squadron to issue a solicitation for a Media Blast System and installation. The contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, materials, equipment, transportation and all else necessary to provide a Media Blast system for the mechanical cleaning of paint from aircraft, aircraft parts and equipment using E-Strip GPX-MIL-P-85891, TYPE VII hybrid blasting media. This solicitation includes the required facility design and site preparation to install the system in the existing building at Columbus AFB, MS. The Statement of Work (SOW) will be posted with the Solicitation. The solicitation will be issued on or about 29 Feb12. This procurement will be set aside 100% for Small Business concerns. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this procurement is 333999 and the small business size is 500 Employees. The requirement will be solicited as a competitive, Request for Proposal using the procedures in FAR Part 15. The evaluation criteria will be detailed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be posted on http://www.fbo.gov. There will be no paper copies of this solicitation available. All solicitation information may be obtained through the above referenced website. Interested parties should register online and subscribe to receive procurement announcements related to this solicitation by entering the website at http://www.fbo.gov. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for release of the solicitation package. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be registered in the DoD Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Register via the CCR website at http://www.ccr.gov. Contractors must also submit their representations and certifications at the online Representations and Certifications Applications (ORCA) website at https://orca.bpn.gov. All prospective offerors interested in submitting a proposal must have a commercial and government entity code (CAGE code). This notice does not obligate the government to award a contract, nor does it obligate the government to pay for any proposal preparation costs.
