- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command PMA-207, Patuxent River, MD, is sponsoring an unclassified Commercial Air Services Pre-Solicitation Conference (Industry Day) on 01 March 2012. The purpose of the event is to inform industry of program requirements, competition timeline, and to provide a Question & Answer/networking opportunity. The Commerical Air Services program provides contractor owned and operated aircraft to United States Navy (USN) Fleet and RDT&E customers and other DoD agencies. The program office will discuss the types of missions including, but not limited to, training fleet units to achieve and maintain combat readiness by using practice/drill and measuring the results; evaluate/test to develop equipment and tactical procedures for fleet users. Aircraft capabilities are, but not limited to, carrying of external pods for Electronic Warfare, target towing, and internal military operations support (Air Intercept Control, Electronic Combat, Antisubmarine Air Control, RDT&E Electronic Combat, etc). Contract type, quantities of items, contract duration, and the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code have not been determined, therefore these topics will not discussed during the Industry Day Conference. This information will be set forth and provided within a Request for Proposal. Aircraft types: Twin Engine Prop Aircraft, Business Class Jet Capability. In addition to the aircraft capabilities and types depicted above, specific aircraft configuration, aircraft mission type performance requirements, and equipment specifications may be discussed. The General Session will be held on 01 March 2012, at the Hilton Garden Inn, Solomons MD, (410) 326-0303 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Industry Day Registration: Registration will be conducted in advance; doors will open at 9:00 AM EST, 1 March 2012. Attendees are required to identify their nationality and their positions within the company they represent. This is a no-fee event and seating is limited. Send attendance information by 24 Feb 2012 to Linda Barrett via e-mail lbarrett@jfti.com. Please cc: Lynnette Curtsinger at lynnette.curtsinger@navy.mil. An e-mail confirmation will be sent upon receipt. Attendee substitution requests may be submitted to the same point of contact by 29 Feb 2012. Late registration and "walk-in" requests will not be permitted. Attendees must present a CURRENT photo ID (driver's license, military ID, company ID or passport) matching the attendee information to gain entry into the event. Attendees are encourages to arrive early to permit sufficient time for check-in. This announcement is not a contract, request for proposal, a promise to contract, or a commitment of any kind on the part of the Government. NAVAIR will not assume liability for costs incurred by an attendee or for travel expenses or marketing efforts; therefore attendee cost in response to this notice is not considered an allowable direct charge to the Government.
