Description
SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS FOR Recovery Sequencer Repair ACES II Seat Department of the Air Force, Air Force Material Command, OO-ALC/GHGJ PURPOSE/DESCRIPTION This is a Source Sought Synopsis announcement, market research for information only, to be used for preliminary planning purposes. This market research is being conducted to identify potential sources possessing the engineering knowledge and manufacturing capability to repair existing Advanced Concept Ejection System II (ACES II) ejection seat recovery sequencers. Offeror shall be able to repair recovery sequencers from their present configuration and update firmware to eliminate existing parts obsolescence in the existing sequencer. Offerers currently not listed as approved sources shall be responsible to show the repaired sequencer meets requirements outlined in Goodrich specification A114520 and associated individual platform requirements. Current drawings are proprietary. It should be understood that changes to the firmware will require new software and coding. Testing and qualification shall be completed by the vendor with government oversight provided. A full sled test program would be required as part of the qualification for a new manufacturer. No proposal is requested or accepted from this synopsis. NSN 1377-01-524-0101, P/N 1847-053-203, Digital Recovery Sequencer Electronic Module, Goodrich, CAGE 17610 INSTRUCTION (1) Relevant experience to include identification of existing obsolescence parts, determine suitable parts which prevents future obsolescence, perform necessary engineering, and have the production capability necessary. Documentation must be provided indicating this capability has been performed in the last 5 years. (2) Company profile will include the following: A. Number of employees. B. Office Location C. CAGE Code D. DUNS number E. Small Business designation/status claimed No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow up information requests. The government has limited data to provide to potential suppliers for this service. Suppliers of this service must possess access to appropriate data necessary to determine repaired sequencers will meet current sequencer requirements. Interested suppliers of this service shall respond to this Source Sought Synopsis no later than 3:00PM 27 February 2012.
