Description

The United States Coast Guard, Surface Forces Logistics Centers, Long Range Enforcer - Contracts & Procurement Branch 2, Oakland, CA anticipates awarding sole source procurement to Thermal Engineering International for the following parts: STUD P/N- 100-D-335 (MONEL 400), STUD- P/N 100-D-336 (MONEL 400), STUD- P/N 100-D-337 (MONEL 400), STUD- P/N 100-D-338 (MONEL 400), NUT- P/N 100-D-339 (MONEL 400), IN-OUT GASKET P/N 700-D-162, RETURN GASKET P/N 700-D-164. To be installed on the USCGC Morro Bay ((WTGB 106). These parts are to be received by USCGC Morro Bay (WTGB 106) and will be provided by Thermal Engineering International who is to be awarded this contract because at this time the material and services for this repair require parts and specialty knowledge from the original equipment manufacturer (OEM). Thermal Engineering International is the OEM and does not authorize third party manufacturers to procure their parts. Thermal Engineering International is the only known source who can provide these parts. They own the manuals, publications & drawings to which the Coast Guard does not have any rights to Thermal Engineering International is the sole proprietor. This procurement will be made on behalf of the USCGC Morro Bay (WTGB 106). Vendor will provide all the parts listed in the Schedule of items. NAICS Code # 336611 applies to this procurement. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. No solicitation will be issued, however all responses received on/before 0900am PST on 02, MARCH 2012 will be reviewed by the Government. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals.
