Description
This RFI is an effort to conduct market research for use in formulating a procurement plan/strategy to procure repair and consumable parts to support G-4, Transportation Branch, Motor Transport Maintenance, Marine Corps Base, Quantico, VA. This RFI allows potential contractors to submit a non-binding statement of interest and documentation demonstrating their corporate capabilities and suggestions that will allow the Government to refine its potential course of action. The RFI effort is intended to assess industry service capabilities and solicit feedback for acquisition planning purposes. The Regional Contracting Office, National Capital Region (RCO-NCR) is requesting responses from qualified businesses concerns. The qualifying NAICS code for this effort is 811198. The Motor Transport Maintenance (MTM) section falls under the Transportation Branch, G-4 Logistics Division, Marine Corps Base (MCB), Quantico, VA and is tasked with servicing base vehicles for corrective and preventive scheduled maintenance support. Motor vehicle repair parts and consumable replacements are required to complete these repairs on an as needed basis. The MTM section requires Contractor support with the capability to: • Provide, in whole or in part, the wide variety of repair and consumable components and parts, on an as needed basis, to support repairs and maintenance for the manufacturer and vehicle types as follows: Manufacturers: OSHKOSH, Pierce, John Deere, Blue Bird, Ford, GM, Chrysler, Kawasaki, Honda and Polaris. Vehicle Types: Heavy duty trucks, Fire Trucks, Utility Vehicles, Construction Vehicles, forklifts, buses, trailers, Light passenger vehicles and trucks, motorcycles, All terrain Vehicles (ATVs) and Seasonal equipment ( for various manufacturers and include snow removal equipment parts such as blades, hoppers, etc). These parts and consumable items are for fuel, electric, or hybrid electric commercial vehicles, forklifts, trailers, and construction/engineer equipment such as scooters, all terrain vehicles, sedans, pickup trucks, utility/maintenance trucks, passenger and cargo vans, stake bed and boxed cargo trucks, dump trucks, dumpster trucks, recovery wreckers and rollbacks, aerial boom trucks, passenger and school buses, ambulances, fire trucks, fuel trucks, tanker trucks, tractor trucks, cargo trailers, equipment transport trailers, semi trailers, materiel handling forklifts (4/6/10K), bulldozers, road graders, backhoes, vibrating rollers, scoop loaders, scrapers, mobile cranes, agriculture and industrial tractors Parts and Consumables: Tires, batteries, wipers, windows, starters, suspension, radiators, steering, exhaust, differential, drive train, chassis, engines, transmission, heating and air conditioning, alternators, brakes and electrical components. • Provide timely turn-around of order deliveries. Routine deliveries shall be within 72 hours from order placement and emergency/expedited deliveries within 24/48 hours from order placement. INSTRUCTIONS: Responses to this RFI shall not exceed 10 pages, including cover letter, discussion and contact information. Responses shall include, in whole or in part, the support areas specified above. Subject response must contain: (1) Capability statement sufficient to demonstrate ability to deliver the types of repair and consumable parts listed above; (2) Current Commercial pricing (i.e. commercial parts lists) (not included in page count); (3) Link to the respondent's General Services Administration (GSA) schedule, or attached file of same, if applicable; (4) Citation of any current or past customers (i.e., within the past two (2) years) to include contract number, point of contact telephone number or e-mail address; and (5) other material relevant to establishing core competencies of the firm. Please identify Large/Small Business size status along with a point of contact, phone number, fax number, e-mail address, business size, taxpayer identification number, DUNS Number, and CAGE Code. Response is due by 10:00 AM EST, 24 February 2012. No solicitation documents exist at this time. The Marine Corps is neither seeking proposals nor accepting unsolicited proposals, and responses to this notice cannot be accepted as offers. Any information the vendor considers proprietary should be clearly marked as such. The U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI.
