- FY12 CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER (CDC), HOLLOMAN, AIR FORCE BASE, OTERO COUNTY, NEW MEXICO. The proposed procurement is a Competitive Small Business Set-aside. Only offerors from qualified small business concerns will be accepted. NAICS is 236220/SIC 1542, with a size standard of $33,500,000.00. The magnitude of construction for this project will be between $10,000,000.00 and $25,000,000.00. Bonding will be required for this acquisition. Offerors attention is directed to Section 00100 in the Solicitation for information regarding the tour of the site. Plans will be issued on or about 25 April 2011, with proposals due on or about 25 May 2011. Offerors are advised that this requirement may be delayed, cancelled, or revised at any time during the solicitation, or final award process, and is subject to the availability of funds. Construction services to be performed under the firm, fixed price contract will consist of the design and construction of the following: a 2,795 SM child development center facility for airman family support on Holloman AFB. The scope of work includes: Concrete footing and floor slab, masonry walls, standing seam metal roof, utilities, fire detection/protection, fencing, communication support, parking, pick-up/drop-off area, access road, site improvements, landscaping, outdoor play area, and all other necessary support. This project will comply with DoD antiterrorism/force protection requirements per Unified Facilities Criteria. This building is being constructed as a permanent facility with a life expectancy exceeding 25 years. THE PROJECT will be advertised as a Request for Proposal. Competitive proposals will be evaluated based on the evaluation criteria set forth in the solicitation package. Evaluation by the Government will result in selection of a firm that represents the best value to the Government. Proposed procurement will result in a firm-fixed price contract.
