Description
The U.S. Army Contracting Command-New Jersey, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000 on behalf of The Office of the Project Manager for Combat Ammunition Systems (PM-CAS) is currently seeking qualified sources by conducting a market survey to identify potential sources capable of manufacturing and delivering the 120mm High Explosive (HE), Full Range Practice (FRP), Illumination/Infrared (Illum/IR), and Smoke Mortar Cartridge Shell Bodies. The mortar cartridge shell bodies are made of 1090 Steel and the HE, Smoke, and FRP are a one piece design while the Illum/IR are a two piece designPotential candidates are requested to identify what their projected per month delivery capability is for each type of body AND to address their capability to meet the Governments current objective production rate of 10,000 per month for the HE and FRP bodies, 5,000 sets per month for the Illum/IR; 1,000 per month for the Smoke. All responding sources shall provide at a minimum: 1.) A summary of their companys capabilities including organizations name, address, point of contact, phone number, fax number, e-mail address, business size, taxpayer identification number, DUNS number, CAGE Code, and2.) A description of facilities/equipment, manufacturing process, inspection capability, personnel, past experience as an shell body producer or a systems contractor, proven monthly production capacity and/or potential capability, possible partnering/teaming arrangements, and whether the company is a small or large business. All responding sources must submit their response no later than 23 March 2012 via email to michael.mannarino@us.army.mil Large files need to be compressed using WinZip (http://winzip.com). TELEPHONE INQUIRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. The Government will accept written questions by email only. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the U.S. Government and will be held in confidential status. The U.S. Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any input as a result of this market survey. The U.S. Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of the survey. This market survey is for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP), solicitation, or as an obligation on the part of the U.S. Government. This is not to be construed as a commitment by the U.S. Government.
