- CLASS CODE: Q - Medical Services SUBJECT: Bridge Amplification and Sequencing Servies SOLICITATION NUMBER: W81XWH-12-R-0029 RESPONSE DATE: April 18, 2012 CONTACT POINTS: Kimberly Hannan, Purchasing Ageng, 301-619-3490; Synopsis: The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) has a requirement in support of the Armed Forces DNA Identification Laboratory (AFDIL). This is a Request for Proposal (RFP). The soliciation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 05-55. This requirement is for an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Contract (IDIQ). The Period of Performance for this contract will be a base with four option years. This requiement is set aside 100% for small business. The standard classification NAICS code is 541711. The contractor will generate next generation sequencing data from libraries prepared for single end sequencing or paired end sequencing on a GAIIx or HiSeq platform, based on the client requested cycle number. Contractor shall be able to provide 36 single end or paired end sequencing cycles, 50 to 54 single end or paired end sequencing cycles, 72 to 76 single end or paired end sequencing cycles. Due to the challending nature of the samples, sample and data exchange between the AFDIL and vendor is likely to occur multiple times. In addition, the unique nature of these samples require a service provider with specific expertise in difficult samples and the analysis of data from difficult samples. Up to 30 samples may be sent to the service provider in varying price and sequencing cycles. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered by the agency. The competitive solicitation, solicitation amendments and all questions and answers relating to this procurement shall be made available via the Internet at http://www.fedbizops.gov. The solicitation is anticipated for release to the vendor community on or about,March 6, 2012 and will only be available until April 18, 2012. Specifications of the requirement are provided in solicitation: W81XWH-12-R-0029. Potential offers are responsible for accessing the website. Interested parties must respond to the solicitation in order to be considered for award of any resultant contract. To be eligible for an award, offerors MUST be registered with the Central Contractor Registry at http://www.ccr.gov and may have completed its representations and cerfication found at http://orca.bpn.gov.
