Description
This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract and is not a request for competitive proposals. The government intends to solicit a proposal and enter into a contract with the Intermountain Cash Register 840 W. 24th street, Ogden Utah 84401. a small business concern, The Intermountain Cash Register personnel will provide the installation of a new POS register system with the adjusted Advantage software that can be used to account and remit for fee collections used on the park cash registers in Denali National Park and Preserve Concession's Office / Fee Program, Denali Park, AK. Under authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii). Please see the below Justification for other than Full and Open Competition for further details. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government shall consider all responses received prior to the close date of this announcement. Written responses to this notice shall contain sufficient documentation to establish bonafide capability to fulfill the requirement. A solicitation is not available. GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Denali National Park and Preserve Concession's Office / Fee Program requires the installation of a new POS register system with Advantage software that can be used to account and remit for fee collections. JUSTIFICATION FOR OTHER THAN FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION (or SOLE SOURCE) Background: Denali National Park and Preserve Concession's Office / Fee Program requires the installation of a new POS register system with Advantage software that can be used to account and remit for fee collections under the guidelines of NPS RM-22. Management and staff would like to have installation and support of a new POS register by a vendor highly experienced with a Datasym-Elixir register and with the Advantage BackOffice software that is programmed for this specific use. 1. FAR Statutory Authority cited: 6.302, Circumstances Permitting Other Than Full and Open Competition. oIntermountain Cash Register 840 W. 24th street, Ogden Utah 84401. Vendor is knowledgeable with POS installation and service that meets WASO-NPS Specifications. The vendor has independently adjusted the Advantage software so it fits the NPS fee collection needs for activities such as, the tracking of pass numbers, remit processing and polling sales data is not an option with the current Sharp register. Brand Name: Intermountain Cash Register (icrcash@aol.com). 2. Nature and description of the supplies or services required to meet the agency's needs. Installation of software and Training of the advantage software used on the parks cash registers 3. A demonstration that the proposed contractor is the only source available to provide these services or goods (i.e. unique qualifications, proprietary rights etc.). Intermountain Region supports over 60 parks with fee collections products and services and has knowledge of the unique reporting and sales of NPS fee collection and the RM-22. The vendor has independently adjusted the Advantage software so it fits the NPS fee collection needs for activities such as, the tracking of pass numbers, remit processing and polling sales data is not an option 4. A description of the market research that was conducted and the results, or a statement of the reason a market research was not conducted: IntlPOS vendor has been researched online, and cannot meet the needs of the Concession's Fee Program. Any other facts supporting the use of other than full and open competition: The vendor has independently adjusted the Advantage software so it fits the NPS no other vendor has software that is has been configured to NPS requirements
