- The VA Boston Healthcare System (VABHS) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 -- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements with ACADEMY HEALTH for HEALTH SERVICES R&D. This requirement will include the following characteristics: 1.The Vendor shall provide all resources and services necessary for holding a methods workshop at its ARM venue. The contractor shall: a.Market the workshop through the AcademyHealth website, ARM publications and marketing, and dissemination of information through targeted e-mail lists such as the Methods Minute; b.Register participants through the AcademyHealth website, mail, and accept on-site registrants; c.Arrange for meeting space and handle logistics; d.Duplicate printed course materials; e.Provide AV equipment-screen, projector, laptop, microphones-for a lecture-style presentation using PowerPoint; and, Reporting Requirements 1.Provide class roster before the seminar to enable HSR&D to contact participants or to assign pre-readings The contractor shall provide CIDER with a written confirmation of the logistics and marketing of the workshop. 2.If problems should arise, the contractor shall deliver a written statement explaining the problem and how it was resolved, as well as an explanation of any problems that have arisen but have not been completely resolved. Salient Characteristics Vendor will provide service Coordination and implementation of an HSR&D methods workshop at AcademyHealth's ARM on June 23, 2012. Title of the workshop will be: Applying Implementation Science to Improve Health Care Quality and Performance - A Methods Workshop. The workshop provides an important opportunity for attendees to hone their research methods skills. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Parties may identify their interest, accompanied by supporting literature, to the Contracting Officer no later than ENTER DUE DATE, C.O.B. Responses should be sent to ENTER EMAIL ADDRESS. Information received will be for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
