Description
This is for a firm fixed-price 5-year Requirements contract with a Basic Year and 4 One-Year Ordering Periods for the repair of the following two each items: NSN: 6110-99-322-9466UC; NOUN: Generator Control Unit (GCU); P/N: 3022066-000. The Basic Year quantity has a Best Estimated Quantity (BEQ) of 6 each for repair and 6 each for No Fault Found (NFF). The quantity on each of the 4 Ordering Periods is a BEQ of 6 each for repair and 6 each for NFF. FUNC: The GCU controls, monitors the operation of the Emergency Generator System. The GCU controls the startup sequence of the Hydraulic Motor Generator and monitors the output AC voltages and frequency during the system operation. DLVY: The contractor shall repair all reparable carcasses and return to the Air Force within 60 days after it is received at the contractor's facility. NSN: 6115-99-284-2892UC; NOUN: Hydraulic Motor Generator (HMG); P/N: 3022063-000. The Basic Year quantity has a BEQ of 7each for repair and 1 each for NFF. The quantity on each of the 4 Ordering Periods is a BEQ of 7 each for repair and 1each for NFF. FUNC: The HMG converts mechanical energy - motion of the rotor to a hydraulic energy that drives a Constant Speed Motor (CSM) that generates AC electrical energy. DLVY: The contractor shall repair all reparable carcasses and return to the Air Force within 60 days after it is received at the contractor's facility. Both NSNs are "other than off the shelf" commercial items, modified for use on the C-5 aircraft. The approximate solicitation issue date will be 26 MAR 2012 with the approximate response date of 26 APR 2012. Solicitation will be available for viewing or downloading at www.fedbizopps.gov only. No telephone requests. NO HARD COPIES WILL BE ISSUED. This acquisition is restricted to Eaton Aerospace (CAGE: K4413), Larchwood Ave., Havant Hampshire Po9 3QL, United Kingdom. Authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), "The property or services needed by the agency are available from only one responsible source or only from a limited number of responsible sources and no other type of property or services will satisfy the needs of the agency."
