- Description
- Aircrew Flight Equipment Services PWS at Columbus AFB, MS SOURCES SOUGHT AND REQUEST FOR INFORMATION SYNOPSIS This notice serves to announce the intent of the 14th Contracting Squadron to issue a solicitation for Aircrew Flight Equipment Services. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items necessary, except for those items specified as government-furnished property and services, to perform Survival Equipment Maintenance at Columbus AFB, Mississippi. This is a non-personal service. The contractor shall perform these services in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and the standards specified in the Performance Work Statement (PWS) at Columbus AFB, MS. The period of performance will be 1 Nov 12 - 30 Sep 13, with four, one-year option periods. The Performance Work Statement (PWS) is attached to this notice in order for interested parties to ask questions and/or provide comments. A pre-solicitation notice will be issued once more information is obtained. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this procurement is 314999 and the small business size is 500 Employees. It is anticipated the requirement will be solicited as a commercial service. The evaluation criteria will be detailed in the solicitation. Award of a contract in FY13 will be subject to the availability of funds. This notice does not obligate the government to award a contract, nor does it obligate the government to pay for any related costs involved with this requirement. Please address the following items: (1) Is this considered a commercial service? (2) What is the normal pricing structure? (3) What is the normal payment method/frequency? (4) What is the normal internal Quality Control procedure? (5) What is the normal inspection/acceptance criterion by the customer? (6) Is there a pool of certified workers in the marketplace? (7) What is the average pay for personnel performing these services?
