- Description
- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE - Project 556-12-011: Repair Replace Flat Roofs at the James A. Lovell Federal Healthcare Center, North Chicago, Illinois. This construction project is set-aside for Service-Disabled-Veteran-Owned-Small-Business (SDVOSBs). Contractor shall provide all tools, materials, components, labor and supervision for general construction of roofing removal and replacement, as outlined in the contract specifications, and as shown on the contract drawings for Buildings 134, 135, 187 & Connecting Corridor systems. Work also includes minor tuck pointing and or brick replacement. Work is to be completed within 180 calendar days of receipt of a Notice to Proceed. In accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Healthcare and Information Technology Act of 2006, Pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), competition is restricted to SDVOSB construction firms. The solicitation will be issued on/about March 28, 2012 with the bid opening on/about April 27, 2012. The bidder is responsible to monitor and download any amendments from FedBizOps which may be issued to this solicitation. There will be pre-construction conference held for this project and all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-construction conference will be included in the solicitation package. The project magnitude range is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 238160; size standard $14 million applies. Note: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Great Lakes Acquisition Center has moved to new offices. Our new address is 115 South 84th Street, 1st Floor, Milwaukee WI 53214-1476. All interested parties must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database and must have current record in the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) prior to bid opening.
