- Description
- Construct a new facility to house the North Carolina District Superintendent's Office (DSO) located at Fort Bragg, NC. The DSO will be designed to provide offices for the superintendent and DSO staff, provide waiting/reception of visitors and family members, provide conference spaces for school board and other meetings, provide training district personnel, public restrooms, and centralize information systems. This project includes related infrastructure such as parking areas, mechanical rooms, and delivery areas. The project also includes site improvements such as signage, fencing, paving, landscaping, covered walkways, exterior lighting and utilities. Facilities will be designed in accordance with DoDEA Education Facilities Specifications, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Accessibility Guidelines/Architectural Barriers Act (ABA), National Fire Protections Association (NFPA) Life Safety Code, Standards of Seismic Safety for Federally Owned Buildings, and energy and water conservation standards. Sustainable design will be integrate into the design in accordance with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) for Schools Silver criteria. Evaluation Criteria: The Government will use a sealed bid evaluation process in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 14.101. After bids are publicly opened, an award will be made with reasonable promptness to that responsible bidder whose bid, conforming to the Invitation for Bids (IFB), will be most advantageous to the Government, considering only price and the price-related factors included in the invitation. This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be available. Other methods of requesting a package will not be honors. This solicitation is anticipated to be available on or about 10 April 2012. NOTE: The response date referenced under General Information does not reer to the BID DUE DATE. Information on the BID DUE DATE will be stated in the Invitation for Bid (IFB). Offerors must register in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at www.ccr.gov. after completing CCR, contractors and their subcontractors must register at www.fbo.gov in over to locate this IFB. Contractors can go to FedBizOpps and search for the IFB number at www.fbo.gov. Contractors can register to be placed on a plan holders list that others can access through the FedBizOpps site. It is the Offerors responsibility to check the internet address provided, as necessary, for any posted change to this solicitation and all amendments.
