Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs requires microwave ablation systems. Contractor shall provide all equipment, material, operating and/or technical/maintenance manuals, training, delivery, and accessories of Brand Name or EQUAL to Covidien Evident Microwave Ablation System, listed below for the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI. All equipment shall be delivered FOB Destination within 90 calendar days after receipt of Notice of Award and/or Purchase. The following salient characteristics are required: a.Use microwave energy to create ablations b.Frequency of 915 MHz c.Power Increments of 5 W d.Duration increments of 1 minute e.Ability to use multiple antenna (up to 3) i.Antenna only deliver energy when device is in the tissue ii.Use for hepatic tumor ablation, coagulation of tissue prior to resection, or both. f.Electromagnetic energy eliminates patient return pad g.Ability to separate the three generators if cases needed to be performed simultaneously h.Ability to set ablation time on generator i.Generator contains push buttons rather than touch screen j.Cart holds up to three generators, cooling pump, accessories k.Cart contains breaks to lock system into place l.Cart contains IV pole to hang cooling fluid This is not a solicitation for offers or quotes. IAW FAR 52.211-6, the VA is seeking vendors whose product can match the salient characteristics listed above. Please send all inquiries to Elester Wilbern at elester.wilbern2@va.gov.
