Responses to Questions from Sources Sought SOW Industry Day Notice Invitation 700 CONS Industry Day Notice Discussion of upcoming procurement for automotive and related parts, tools, and accessories General Information: Description: The U.S. Air Force is seeking potential companies who have the skills, experience, knowledge, and capabilities required to provide automotive and related vehicle parts and accessories to repair and maintain approximately 1,600 vehicles and equipment managed by the 86th Vehicle Readiness Squadron, Ramstein Air Base, Germany. The purpose of this Industry Day is to brief interested parties on the requirement, how the US Government is doing business and to clarify any open question to help everybody getting a better understanding of the process. The Industry Day will be held at an undisclosed location (TBA) in the general locality of Kaiserslautern, Germany on Wednesday, 18 April 2012. Check‐in will begin at 0830 am and the meeting will begin at 0900. Registration for this event is required and must be submitted no later than 12 April 2012, 1200hrs. Walk‐ins will not be permitted. Registration submissions shall be send via email to: laura.kunkle@ramstein.af.mil and nicholas.goldstein@ramstein.af.mil. The registration shall contain number and names of participants as well as the company name represented. Email, duty phone and cell phone of at least one POC shall be part of the information provided with the registration. Due to the possibilty of space limitation, registration is limited to two (2) representatives from each organization attending the Industry Day; however, if requested attendance exceeds the capacity of the conference room, it may be necessary to further limit attendance of personnel from each organization to just one (1). 700 CONS will reply via e‐mail with the registration confirmation. All expenses associated with attendance will be the responsibility of the participant(s). Draft Agenda: 0830 - 0845 Arrival, Check-in 0845 - 0900 Networking among Attendees 0900 - 0915 Welcome and Purpose of Industry Day- 700 CONS/LGCB 0915 - 0945 Presentation of the Vehicle Parts Requirement - USAFE/A4 0945 - 1015 Breakfast 1015 - 1045 Solicitation and Award Process - 700 CONS/LGCB 1045 - 1100 Legal Perspective - Legal Advisor 1100 - 1200 Dialogue, Questions and Wrap-up 1200 Industry Day Ends A laptop and a LCD Television for presentation purposes has yet to be solidified at this point in time. Representatives are encouraged to bring their own laptops or means of presentation should they desire. Also, literature and catalogs of products as similar as the requirement stated above are more than welcome to help us understanding what is available in the commercial marketplace. This notice does not constitute an invitation for bids or a Request for Proposal (RFP) and is not a commitment by the U.S. Government to enter into any acquisition for any products or services. No solicitation document exists at this time. Questions/comments resulting from the 700 CONS Vehicle Parts Requirement Industry Day will be accepted via email from 18 April through 25 April, 2012. The limited timeframe for questions/comments is to allow for potential feedback to be incorporated into any resulting posting.
