- Description
- Request for Information The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), Office of the Chief Information Officer (CIO), in coordination with DISA's Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization - National Capital Region (DITCO-NCR), is requesting information to identify sources with the capabilities to develop optimal, general Service Desk Support Models for Enterprise services based on the DISA environment. The proposed Service Desk Support Models must encompass standard models per ITIL V.3 2011 and the HDI Service Support Model. The current DISA service desk environment includes several disparate service desk solutions and is looking to settle on one standardized service desk model. DISA's objective is to allow industry maximum flexibility to innovatively design, develop, and propose suggested Service Desk Support Models for potential implementation. DISA is seeking two (2) different Service Desk Support Models, an initial near-term model and a long-term model. The initial near-term Service Desk Support Model must include a centralized specialized Service Desk that provides tiered support on a Service Desk to Service Desk basis for one specific service (Defense Enterprise Email) on a 24x7 basis to multiple global geographic locations. The long-term Service Desk Support models must include a virtualized Consolidated Service Desk that provides tiered support on a Service Desk to Service Desk basis for multiple services to include a Customer Contact Center Front End (Tier 0/Single Point of Contact) with multiple tiered support elements based upon service on a 24x7 basis in multiple global geographic locations. The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to assess the capabilities existing in the marketplace to provide the required Service Desk Support Models and to assist the Government in determining how to proceed in the acquisition process for the Service Desk Support Models requirement. Questions or clarifications to this RFI must be submitted, via email, to the Contracting Officer cited below no later than 1100 EDT, Friday, 13 April 2012. The opportunity for clarification of this RFI will not change the submission date identified above. Oral communications are not permissible. FedBizOpps will be the sole repository for all information related to this RFI. Responses to the RFI must be submitted, via e-mail, to the Contracting Officer cited below no later than 1100 EDT, Friday, 20 April 2012. Please see attached Request for Information document for additional information.
