Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY (Not a notice of Solicitation) 1. 21st Contracting Squadron, Peterson AFB CO, is requesting information on training capabilities as described herein solely for information, planning purposes, and market research. This does not constitute a formal solicitation, Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quote (RFQ), or a promise to issue a formal solicitation. This market research is being conducted to identify qualified commercial sources capable of providing computer training as described in paragraph 4 below. The Air Force does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this notice or to otherwise pay for the information requested herein. This notice is to provide vendors a better understanding of the requirement for the specific training and to help determine any subsequent small business set-asides. 2. Firms responding should specify if their training product meets the requirements below and provide detailed product information to show clear technical compliance. When submitting the capabilities package, please state whether or not you can meet this requirement, including quantity, and an estimated delivery date from the date of contract award. If possible, please include a recent commercial sales history. If you believe you can meet this requirement but take exception to any of the specifications listed in paragraph 4, please state these in your capabilities package with a brief description of why. Additionally, please identify any of the requirements you find overly restrictive and provide justification for this assertion. 3. Firms responding should also indicate whether they are, or are not, a small business, a socially or economically disadvantaged small business, or a woman-owned small business. The general definition of a small business is one that is independently owned and operated; is not dominant in the field of operation in which it is bidding on Government contracts and with its affiliates. NAICS Code to be used for this acquisition is 611420 and the size standard does not exceed $7 million dollars. The Air Force reserves the right to consider a set-aside based upon responses hereto for any subsequent acquisition. Respondents are further requested to indicate their status as a Foreign-owned/Foreign-controlled firm and any contemplated use of foreign national employees on this effort. 4. Training Courses Required: 4.1 F5 BIG-IP Load Balancing & Replication, Dell m1000 blade chassis, Dell Systems Management, Dell Storage Area Network Management, Dell PowerVault MD 3600, Cisco Nexus v1000 Switches, Dell Force10 Operating System Architecture & Configuration, VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM) instructor led training provided to 561 NOS for the purpose of maintaining the Peterson Regional Data Center and Schriever Continuity of Operations equipment. Students may consist of military, civilian, and/or contracted personnel from varying technical backgrounds. 4.2 Course objective: the Contractor shall provide the participants with knowledge and skills to complete the core objectives as stated for each course:   4.2. SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS: 4.2.1 Contractor shall provide two (2) F5 BIG-IP load balancing & replication training course sessions to instruct individuals how to setup an initial configuration, build common and advanced configurations, monitoring, troubleshooting, installation, and device and environment management using the Graphical User Interface and Command Line utilities. Training will be provided for up to 10 students each session. 4.2.2 Contractor shall provide one (1) Dell m1000 Blade Chassis training course session to instruct individuals about the Dell PowerEdge M-Series Blades and the M1000e enclosure, including components, configuration, deployment and troubleshooting, Network Fabrics, I/O modules, System Management hardware and software, and Power and Thermal budgeting and monitoring. The course shall integrate interactive student learning with hands-on labs that reinforce learning objectives. Training will be provided for up to 10 students.. 4.2.3 Contractor shall provide one (1) Dell Systems Management Console training course session to instruct individuals on the features and functionality of the Dell Management Console (DMC), DMC for Clients, and the associated Systems Management technologies used to proactively monitor a Data Center. In hands on labs, students will successfully configure the DMC software, push agents, discover and inventory hardware, configure jobs, tasks and alerts, and perform in-band and out-of-band patch management. Students will configure performance, health and power thresholds and report on system status. Training will be provided for up to 10 students. 4.2.4 Contractor shall provide one (1) Dell Storage Area Network Management (SAN) & Data Protection training course session to teach individuals how to implement Dell storage into an existing IT infrastructure. Course shall cover SAN fundamentals and initial setup, configuration and management of Dell/EMC storage arrays focusing on the Dell/EMC CX series, Dell/EMC layered applications like Analyzer, Quality of Service Manager, SnapView, MirrorView, SAN Copy, and performance management of SAN solutions. Training will be provided for up to 10 students. 4.2.5 Contractor shall provide one (1) Dell PowerVault MD 3600 training course session for individuals to gain and maintain the requisite knowledge for successful implementation, management and maintenance of the PowerVault MD3600. Training shall consist of a mixture of lecture, discussions, demonstrations, and hands-on labs. Training will be provided for up to 10 students. 4.2.6 Contractor shall provide one (1) Cisco Nexus v1000 switches training course session for individuals to learn installing initial switch configurations, switching technologies, routing technologies, management, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Training will be provided for up to 10 students. 4.2.7 Contractor shall provide one (1) Dell Force10 Operating System (FTOS) Architecture & Configuration training course session for individuals to build the practical skills necessary to install, configure, optimize and support Force10 E-Series, C-Series, S-Series and Z-Series switch/routers in homogeneous and non-homogeneous networks. In addition, this course will provide a review of common protocols, including MSTP, OSPF, BGP, and Quality of Service (QoS). Training will be provided for up to 10 students. 4.2.8 Contractor shall provide one (1) VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM) training course session for individuals to equip VMware administrators with the knowledge to install, configure, and operate VMware Site Recovery Manager, and test disaster recovery plans with SRM. Training will be provided for up to 10 students. 5. Capabilities package: All interested firms shall submit a capabilities package that explicitly demonstrates company capabilities and product specifications related to this effort.
