Description

The VA Maryland Health Care System (VAHMCS), Baltimore, MD Campus intends to negotiate a sole source, firm fixed price base plus four (4) one (1) year options contract with Specialty Care Cardiovascular Resources Inc to provide autologous blood service. NAICS code is 621111 and the size standard is $10.0 M. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This proposed procurement is for supplies or services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. To the best of our knowledge, Specialty Care Cardiovascular Resources Inc is the only company who can provide these services. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals; however any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer by 2:00 pm, EST, 04/25/2012. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. Information can be mailed or hand delivered to the Contract Specialist. Electronic responses will not be accepted. No telephone responses will be accepted. Responses received will be evaluated; however a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the VA will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Specialty Care Cardiovascular Resources Inc.
