- Description
- Questions and Answers 1. With regard to the first deliverable of DVD with time code burn of approximately 40 hours of footage - the request is for "2 DVD's". Forty hours of raw footage translates to roughly 1 hour per DVD for a total of 40 DVD's. Does the government desire ‘2 sets' of 40 DVD's? Answer: Yes, 2 sets of DVDs. 2. Will NIOSH be supplying all of the motion graphics or will contractor need to design and create elements as well (other than the opening graphic)? Answer: NIOSH will create motion graphics for opening only. 3. By specifying Adobe Creative Suite 5, does this mean the government and contractor will be sending AfterEffects/PhotoShop.etc. files back and forth? Answer: Yes, if changes are needed. 4. For Task Deliverable 2, will NIOSH footage include broll as well as ‘interview' footage? In other words, is the supplied footage mostly demonstration broll or a combination which includes interviews? Answer: Yes, there will be brief description of the machine and interviews to describe the content. B roll may be used but most of the transitions will dissolve by way of Adobe premiere (provided by the contractor.) 5. Is the supplied footage format in 4:3, 16:9 or a combination of the two? Answer: Possibly both; our film person uses DVC pro 25 tape format. 6. With regard to the NIOSH supplied script and narration, will the government provide the professional voice talent or will contractor need to have the audio re-cut by professional talent? Answer: NIOSH has a narrator. This audio will be supplied with the video and is expected to be combined. 7. RFQ mentions that NIOSH will provide a ‘proof' that includes shots, b-roll, images, graphics, audio and text.' Is this a storyboard? We are unclear as to what is meant by a ‘proof.' Answer: Yes, this is a story board - with files listed to accompany and explain what goes where in the timeline.
