Description
Performance Work Statement The 502d Contracting Squadron has a requirement for vehicle operates to support Brooke Army Medical Center's (BAMC) Warrior in Transition Battalion Transportation Section (WTBTS). WTBTS operates 24hrs a day, 7 days a week, including all holidays. Vehicle operators transport Warriors and their family members in Government owned vehicles to and from scheduled medical appointments and rehabilitation programs that cover the San Antonio, Austin and other surrounding areas. Vehicle Operators drive on shuttle routes daily, as well as to and from events that involve Warriors and their family members. This announcement constitutes only a synopsis of the requirement. A solicitation will be issued on/or about 1 May 2012. The 502d Contracting Squadron intends to award one contract to a qualified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business. This acquisition will be competed under North American Industry Classification System code (NAICS) 485113 (Bus and Other Motor Vehicle Transit Systems), with a size standard of $7.0 Million. It is anticipated that one (1) firm-fixed price contract will be awarded in accordance with the evaluation and award criteria set forth in the solicitation. The period-of-performance is a three (3) month base period plus two (2) 1-year option periods for a total of 27 months. This is NOT a Request for Proposal (RFP). When issued, the RFP will be posted to FedBizOpps. Contractors wishing to participate in this proposed procurement must obtain his or her copy of the solicitation when posted from FedBizOpps. All amendments will be posted on FedBizOpps. Contractors will be solely responsible for obtaining amendments from the aforementioned website to update their files. Prospective contractors must be actively registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) system. Please see attached draft Performance Work Statement for an extended description of the requested services. After reviewing this synopsis package please identify any inconsistencies and/or additional information industry may need in order to provide a competitive proposal.
