- Network Contracting Activity 8 is seeking responsible sources to provide police honor guard uniforms. The uniforms will be furnished to officers specifically authorized by the Department of Veterans Affairs, NF/SG VA Healthcare System within Alachua County, FL Geographical location. This is a negotiated procurement; there will not be a public bid opening. Solicitation VA-248-12-Q-1278 will be available on or about April 23, 2012. The solicitation cited above can only be obtained by accessing FedBizOpps, a secure website designed to safeguard sensitive but unclassified (SBU) acquisition information. In order to obtain information from FedBizOpps, you will first be required to register with CCR (Central Contractor's Registration) database. You may access CCR at http:// www.bpn.gov. Once registered with CCR you will be required to register with FedBizOpps. No federal materials can be downloaded until you have registered under both sites. Also, beginning January 1, 2005, as required by the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) all vendors are required to use the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) in federal solicitations as a part of the proposal submission. You may access ORCA at http://www.orca.bpn.gov. Potential offerors should refer to the solicitation package regarding instructions involving the use of ORCA. The electronic solicitation VA-248-12-Q-1278 may be downloaded on http://wwwfedbizopps.gov. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading the solicitation and monitoring the website for amendment(s), or any other action related to the solicitation. All questions must be submitted in writing to cynthia.dixon@va.gov. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses must be received in writing no later than 4:30 p.m. EST April 20, 2012. Responses should clearly state their ability to provide the items.
