Description
The project work consists of a base and one (1) option bid item. The project entails electrical infrastructure upgrades and site upgrades. BASE WORK: The electrical infrastructure upgrades include electrical site distribution system improvements to support the overall station's improvement projects, demolition of existing electrical components which are to be abandoned or replaced, demolish existing and install a new site lighting system, modify or replace physical security system components, install lightning protection for all exterior metallic structures, install closed-caption televisions, and install motorized gate systems. The site upgrades include demolition of the existing entrance, construction of the new parking lot and sidewalk, resurfacing and repaving the existing government and personal vehicle parking areas, and landscape planting and grassing. OPTION 1 includes milling to resurface and repave the existing parking lots. The project bid will contain two alternates. Alternate B is the government's preferred alternate; however the Government reserves the right to choose Alternate A based on the availability of funds. The Government will announce the chosen alternate prior to public bid opening. Under Alternate A, install metal-halide lights in all security lighting. Under Alternate B, install LED lighting in all security lighting.
