- The US Department of Veterans Affairs' VISN 17 and the Network Contracting Office (NCO) 17 will host a Small Business Industry Day and Round Table on May 16, 2012 to present information about future VISN 17 construction projects and service & supply requirements. This outreach event will provide a venue for VISN 17 and the NCO to discuss its mission, goals and contracting opportunities with the Small Business Community. The agenda will include opening remarks by the Network Contract Manager, a presentation on Government Contracting by the North Texas Small Business Development Center, a preview of upcoming business opportunities in VISN 17, and scheduled round tables with VA program officials, contracting officers, and other small business contractors. WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Those small businesses interested in participating in this outreach event should have the capability to provide construction services, healthcare services, facilities services, and supplies within the geographic area of VISN 17, which encompasses the counties surrounding San Antonio, Harlingen, Temple, Waco, Ft. Worth, Bonham, and Dallas. This is a no cost event, but due to space constraints, participation is limited to the first 120 attendees who register. Only those who are pre-registered will be allowed into the conference. REGISTRATION: Register by emailing the following information to IndustryDay@va.gov. no later than May 4, 2012. Limit two attendees from each company. Upon submission of your registration, you will receive an email acknowledgement. Only those who provide the information below will be able to participate in the round tables. Worth / Bonham LOCATION: The Industry Day will be held at the Temple VA Medical Center, 1901 Veterans Memorial Drive, Building 171, Room A25, Temple Texas, 76504, from 9:00am to noon. Doors open at 8:30am. Follow the campus signage to Building 171. You do not need a campus pass to enter the grounds, and there is ample free parking near the building.
