Description

Special Notice The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Medical Center, Portland, Oregon intends to award a sole source commercial purchase order to Medtronic, 1800 Pyramid Place Bldg A, Memphis, TN 38132-1719. This proposed action is for O-Arm Complete Multidimensional Surgical Imaging System with 3D, multi-plane Fluoro imaging capability at the Portland VA Medical Center. The VA intends to procure this requirement on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.303-2 and FAR 13.501. This is not a request for competitive quotes and no solicitation will be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 5 days from the date of the publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Responses are due by 04/26/2012 4:00 pm EST. Please reference RFP # VA260-12-R-0798 on all correspondence in regards to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. In accordance with FAR Parts 12 & 13. This notice document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-58, April 18, 2012.
