Description

The Department of Veteran's Affair, Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System, Sepulveda VA Medical Center, Health Services Research and Development intend to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR6.302-1 No other supply or services can satisfy agency's need. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The Society of General Internal Medicine will publish VA woman's health care original research and supplements, rigorous scientifically based review articles, and invite editorials and commentaries related to health care and policy. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 04:30 p.m. PST on April 26, 2012. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. No RFP will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent.
