Description
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to enter into sole source negotiations with the Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation, Bethpage, NY, for weapons replaceable assembly (WRA) spares and maintenance support on the MQ-4C Broad Area Maritime Surveillance (BAMS) Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) during oprational testing. Spares will be procured in order to support updated reliability predictions or actual deficiencies, and will include test maintenance technician support required to populate the BAMS UAS fault reporting database. This contractual action will be issued on a sole-source basis to the Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation as the sole designer, developer, manufacturer and integrator of the MQ-4C BAMS UAS. This is the only contractor with the requisite knowledge, experience, and technical data to perform the requisite simulation of BAMS capabilities. Unless otherwise stated herein, no formal request for proposal or additional written information is currently available. Request for same will be disregarded. A determination by the Government not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. This synopsis is published for information purposes only (THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS). The Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the BAMS UAS, and as such, is the only known source available with the requisite technical knowledge, experience and tooling to produce the requirements described herein to satisfy the government's requirement. IMPORTANT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR INTERESTED PARTIES: There are no commitments by the government to issue any solicitations, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of a contract modification for the efforts mentioned above.
