- Description
- This shall be a Service Disabled Small Business Set-Aside (SDVOSB). As a result, all SDVOSB's may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the agency. The project falls under NAICS Code 236220, and has a Small Business Standard of $$33.5 Million. The estimated price range for this project is $ 465,893.73. The SCOPE OF WORK FOR THE BASE BID is as follows: Scope of Work: Project # 620A4-11-215 Fencing & Grubbing At Castle Point Campus A.Base Bid: 1.The work consists of all labor, equipment, materials, accessories, supervision, and all operations required, for the clearing, grubbing, tree removal, small trees less than eight inch (8") diameter up to twenty-four inch (24") diameter, and cutting of vegetation growth for a path of 10 foot unless otherwise noted, on the property side and 5 foot outside of the existing fence in areas specified. Remove and dispose of barb wire strands where shown and associated work. Confiscate, relocate, and/or reconstruct approximately 2,810 lineal feet of 6 foot chain-link fabric fence, posts, doubles gates and replacement of fence fabric at various locations. Fence fabric would be 6 foot, 2", 9 gauge galvanized steel mesh, galvanized 3" line posts, 2-5/8" rail, 3" corner, gate, or terminal posts, and galvanize hardware accessories and existing 6" gate posts for entrance shall remain. All posts, rails and accessories are to be coated with a black acrylic paint. 2. Contractor shall reuse and dispose of wood debris and chip branches and shredded vegetation and brush and chipped materials level within the10 foot path within the property fence line to allow ATV use. 3. It shall be the responsibility of the contractor, prior to bidding this job, to inspect the work site, determine the quantity of work involved, check dimensions, compare the specifications with the work to be done, and inform themselves as to all existing site conditions. Failure to do so will in no way relieve the successful contractor from work that may be required to carry out the terms of this contract in accordance with the true intent and meaning of the plans, without any additional cost to the Owner. 4. Contractor will be responsible to coordinate and schedule work to minimize delays of short duration and shall be expected to plan work during duty hours of the hospital. B.All work will be divided into four (4) phases with the information provided as followed. Completion Time of each phase is 180 Calendar Days from Notice to Proceed. 1. Phase 1: Approx. 700 linear feet of fence, one (1) Twenty-four (24) foot gate including posts, post caps, rails, mesh, barb wire, wire arms, and hardware to be removed and replaced with new. 2. Phase 2: Approx. 650 linear feet of fence including posts, post caps, rails, mesh, barb wire, wire arms, and hardware to be removed and replaced with new. 3. Phase 3: Approx. 680 linear feet of fence including posts, post caps, rails, mesh, barb wire, wire arms, and hardware to be removed and replaced with new. 4. Phase 4: Approx. 780 linear feet of fence including posts, post caps, rails, mesh, barb wire, wire arms, and hardware to be removed and replaced with new. Completion Time for each face is 180 Calendar Days from Notice to Proceed. The solicitation will be posted on May 15, 2012 and the anticipated closing date is June 21th, 2012 at 2:00pm EST. The bid submittal address and time will be included in the solicitation. Bid submissions shall be in hardcopies and not e-mailed or faxed. This project requires the bidders/contractors to secure bonding. All bidders shall be registered and verified in the www.ccr.gov, www.dnb.com/, www.vetbiz.gov and https://orca.bpn.gov/
