Description
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division, on behalf of the United States Marine Corps (USMC), is performing a market survey of current and developmental hybrid systems and components to play a role in informing future requirements in the area of efficient electric power generation and utilization for expeditionary forces. By supporting this effort, you will be enabling the USMC to better define requirements for future acquisition decisions. Information provided to NSWC PCD and the USMC will not be shared or distributed beyond other U.S government agencies without express written consent. It is desired that you fill out and return the attached form for each of your products relevant to this topic. Description For purposes of this market survey, MEHPS is any mobile/deployable power generation system that is capable of producing standard one and/or three phase electrical power in the standard voltages (110, 208, 240). The MEHPS will deliver scalable automatic and autonomous load matching, solid state energy storage, and renewable energy integration capabilities that support the efficient and effective power matching for all elements of the MAGTF. The MEHPS will be a scalable family of systems that efficiently match loads from 300W to 800 kW in bands of 300W to 5kW, 5kW to 60 kW and 60kW to 800kW. The Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) will support the integration of these capabilities into the family of USMC systems, with minor modification to current ground equipment Programs of Record (PORs), including tactical vehicles. The MEHPS can employ both hybrid and microgrid technologies. For the purposes of this announcement a hybrid system is a system composed of at least two integrated power generation sources, which may or may not include energy storage that distributes power from a centralized location. A microgrid is a smart distributed power generation network comprised of many sources of varying types, and an energy storage component which distributes power over a large area to many different levels of loads. The primary areas of particular interest are power generation, power management, energy storage and power distribution. Technologies of interest may be in the R&D phase of development, having a production horizon of five years with a TRL 6. The government will consider Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) on a case-by-case basis to protect proprietary R&D data disclosures. Responses Responses to this RFI should include supporting materials that provides a demonstration of your company ™s capabilities and experience. For costs, please provide any applicable quantity discounts. The following information is requested (indicate if the information is an estimate or actual). 1.Product Description (including key features/functionality) 2.Physical Characteristics 3.Electrical Characteristics 4.System Safety 5.Product History 6.User Interface 7.Product Maturity 8.Logistics 9.Cost 10.System Efficiency Responses should be prepared using the form attached to this announcement.
